Yamaha Motors India have finally created another milestone by producing one million scooters in the country so far. The one-million milestone has been reached with the launch of Fascino by the company from its manufacturing plant in Surajpur, Greater Noida. Yamaha has got manufacturing plant for scooters in Surajpur and Chennai.
Another remarkable fact is that out of the one million scooters, nearly 80,000 have been exported to Nepal, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Dominican Republic Cost Rica and Ecuador. It was in 2012 when Yamaha entered the gearless scooter market by rolling out its Cygnus Ray for the young female riders. A new version of this scooter- Yamaha Cygnus Ray Z was launched for young male buyers. Later on, the Japanese automaker also launched the Cygnus Alpha and Fascino.
Yamaha has undergone a 94% rise in its scooter sales during the first half of this year in comparison to its previous year’s sale.
