Volvo Imports S90 for Certification in India

Volvo’s flagship sedan, the S90 has been imported to India for the certification purpose. The car is likely to launch in the last quarter of 2016. Volvo S90 competes with Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5-series and Audi A6. The car was first shown at 2015 Detroit Auto Show.

The imported unit came with a 2.0 L, 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 190 HP. S90 internationally comes in 3 variants while India is expected to get T4 and T6 variants only. It is expected to carry a price tag of around INR 50 lakh.

Volvo’s safety preferences includes semi autonomous driving assistance upto 128 kmph, 360 degree camera, large animal detection and advanced collision detection system.
