Volkswagen India to recall 1.9 lakh diesel engine cars in July

As per the official announcement by Volkswagen India, around 1.9 lakh cars would be recalled starting from July,2016. This is being done to rectify the emission software of diesel-powered cars. It would take around 10 months for the whole process to complete. Although the automaker’s cars in India follow the Bharat Stage IV standards but to avoid any scandals like in the US the company has taken a voluntary initiative.

The company will communicate the further details about the recalling with its customers starting from next month. There will be 88,700 cars from Skoda and 36,500 cars from Audi recalled during the same time.
