Zica has been officially revealed by Tata Motors, detailing all the required information about its engine and dimensions. The car measures 3746 mm in length, 1647 mm in width and 1535 mm in height. It gets a 2400 mm wheelbase and a good 170 mm of ground clearance. The fuel tank capacity is 35 litres, the turning radius of the car is 4.9 metres and the weight of petrol Zica is 1012 kg and the diesel Zica weighs 1080 kg.
The petrol motor is a 1.2 L three-cylinder, Revotron engine producing 85 PS @ 6000 rpm and 114 Nm @ 3500 rpm. The diesel unit is again a 3-cylinder, 1.05 L engine producing 70 PS @ 4000 rpm and 140 Nm @ 1800-3000 rpm. Both the units are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. An all new XZ variant will also be introduced with the newcomer.
Tata Zica will come equipped with an 8-speaker Tata’s ConnectNext infotainment system with USB port, AUX port and Bluetooth connectivity. The top variants of Zica will also come with steering mounted audio controls. As far as safety features are concerned, it will come with 2 front airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution) and Cornering Stability Control (CSC).
Tata Zica is going to compete with Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Hyundai i10, the expected ex-showroom price is Rs. 3.60 lakh for the petrol base model and around Rs. 4.50 lakh for the base diesel model.
