Specifications and Variant-wise Features of New Maruti Suzuki Baleno

The Maruti Suzuki Nexa is about to get its new addition after the S-Cross. The car which was codenamed YRA comes with the name of Baleno for the Indian market. It gets everything for the Maruti Suzuki hatchback fans and would be launched in the country on 26th October 2015. The booking for the car has started with a token amount of INR 25,000 only.

The variant wise description of the Baleno divided the car in 4 variants namely Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The car comes with two engine as well as two gearbox options. The petrol motor is the 1.2 L, 84 PS with an option of manual as well as CVT gearbox. The diesel engine is the famous 1.3 L, 75 PS option with a manual gearbox only.

Sigma is the base variant of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, covering all the important safety features like ABS with EBD and 2 airbags. It gets front power windows, power steering, AC with heater and manual central locking.

Delta gets an addition of rear power windows, rear wiper & defogger, rear parking sensors, climate control, keyless entry, power folding & adjustable mirrors and steering mounted audio controls. CVT gearbox is optional on the petrol Delta variant.

Zeta gets leather treatment for the steering and gear knob. It also gets LED DRL’s and telescopic steering wheel. For more convenience, keyless entry with push start button has also been added to the variant. It also included fog lamps, driver seat height adjustment, alloy wheels and automatic headlamps.

The top variant Alpha has projector headlamps, reverse camera and the Maruti Suzuki Smartplay infotainment system as its additions. The pricing would decide the future of Baleno as placing it in the right slot would prove very beneficial to the company.
