Yamaha and Performance has always been parallel terms in the motorcycle world. Putting the same theme ahead, Yamaha has launched a Japan specific, race only version for the performance oriented R1 and R6 on its current lineup. The bikes are track based machines with a lower overall weight for better performance.
R1, the flagship Yamaha racer has lost all the unnecessary parts like number plates, rear view mirrors, pillion seat and rear footpeg assembly from the motorcycle. The newcomer is painted in Black shade with no stickers at all.
The second is Yamaha R6, the middleweight racer with the same shredding in weight with no extra parts. Both the bikes are European spec models and comes with a last booking date of 21 December 2015. Yamaha R1 gets a price tag of 19,44,000 Yen (INR 10.60 lakhs after conversion, without taxes) whereas the Yamaha R6 comes with a tag of 9,18,000 Yen (INR 5.0 lakhs after conversion, without taxes).
