Mercedes GLS-Class, the replacement to the company’s full sized SUV GL-Class has been officially revealed. The car gets a sportier look with considerable changes like new front grill, revised front as well as rear bumper, LED DRL’s with projector headlamps and a new taillight.
The SUV gets new color options with new alloy wheel design on the list. The interior remains mostly the same but gets a free standing infotainment screen with better hardware and software upgrades.
GLS gets a variety of engine options. The diesel GLS 350d gets a 3.0L V6 producing 255 hp and 420 Nm of torque. Petrol options include GLS 450 with 3.0L V6 producing 362 hp and 500 Nm torque. The bigger version named GLS 550 comes with twin turbo 4.0L V8 generating 449 hp and 700 Nm of torque.
The mighty GLS 63 AMG uses the same 4.0L engine to produce 577 hp and all the variants come with 4Matic all wheel drive system. With AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-tronic on the GLS 63 AMG, all the other model use a 9G-tronic automatic transmission.
