If some reports are to be believed, the Hyundai Elantra facelift will be making way to India this summer.
First unveiled at the Dubai International Motorshow in 2015, this fluidic sedan will now come with a fresh look, and a new, more powerful engine.
On the outside, the car looks very impressive with its more mature, and solid stance. The car’s design has been slightly toned down and it still manages to even more dominating it its calm, elegant poise.
On the front, we see sleek projector headlamps and a hexagonal grille while the rear gets a two-piece taillight.
Dimension-ally, the 2016 Elantra is 4550mm in length, 1800mm in width and 1470mm in height, making it 20mm longer and 25mm wider than its predecessor. It also expected to be loaded with the latest features and technologies.
Coming to the powerplants (internationally), the sixth generation elantra is equipped with a 1.6L VGT CRDi diesel engine, and two petrol engines: a 1.6L GDi and a 2.0L MPi. The diesel rig is mated to 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, while a six-speed manual and automatic gearbox is available with the petrol variants.
The Hyundai Elantra is expected to be priced within 14-20 lacs and launch somewhere around mid-2016. The Hyundai sedan competes with the likes of Skoda Octavia and Chevrolet Cruze.
