Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Officially Announced with New Surface Pen for US$ 899

Microsoft has announced its thinner, lighter and more powerful device dubbed as ‘Microsoft Surface Pro’ with new Surface Pen. It is available to pre-order now starting at $899 and the users can get it on October 26. It looks like a Surface Pro 3 released in 2014. It has a 12.3 inch screen which supports a resolution of (2160×1440 pixels) which roughly leads to the pixel density of 267ppi.

Moving to the other specifications, this new device is 8.4mm thin as compared to Surface Pro 3 which is 9.1mm in thickness. The Surface Pro 4 is 30% faster than the Pro 3 and 50% than the MacBook Air. It comes equipped with Surface Pen which can be attached magnetically to the device. Along with that company is giving eraser tool also. The pen can be easily joined with Cortana. Its display is made up of a new technology which Microsoft calls ‘Pixel Glass’ that has 1024 different pressure sensitivity levels. It houses an 8MP rear camera at the back and 5MP shooter at the front. It supports Window Hello Face authentication using the camera as well as fingerprint sensor for authentication.

It comes with a new Surface Pro Type Cover in 5 color options which is thin and light and has a larger track pad with more space between keys which makes typing easy and comfortable. It comes packed with a new Surface dock as well that has a 2 Display Ports (up to 4k), 4 USB 3.0 ports and an Ethernet port. Both the new dock and Type Cover are compatible with Surface Pro 3 as well. As far as storage is concerned, it supports 1TB memory and 16GB RAM. It uses a Dual-Core Intel Skylake Core i5 or i7 processor and works on Window 10 operating system.
