Microsoft Lumia 950 XL with 5.7-inch QHD Display, Snapdragon 810 Officially Announced for $649

Microsoft has introduced a new high-end smartphone, ‘Lumia 950 XL’ at an event held in New York City. It comes with a variety of features such as Liquid cooling technology; fast charging capabilities and most importantly display dock which makes it usable with external keyboard, mouse and monitor. This is one of the unique devices by the company which is designed to provide a PC like experience to its users. The dual SIM version of this smartphone has also been introduced in the event.

Talking about the specs, Lumia 950 XL packs a 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED ClearBlack display at front with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 technology and 518ppi pixel density. It runs on Window 10 based operating system and has octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood along with Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB RAM. Measurement wise, it holds a 151.9mm height, 78.4mm width, 8.1mm thickness and 165 grams weight.

For the shutterbugs, it brings 20MP PureView rear and 5MP front-facing camera. The main camera offers Optical Image Stabilization, triple RGB flash, f/1.9 aperture features and is capable of capturing full HD videos. In the terms of storage, it has an internal memory of 32GB and an expandable memory support of up to 200GB via microSD card. It offers 4G LTE /3G HSPA+ support as its connectivity features along with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB Type-C 3.1, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.

It draws backup from a 3340mAh removable battery that has fast charging capabilities. It takes just 30 minutes to get charged up to 50%. There are two colors on offer in this smartphone - Black and White. Its sale will be start from November in selected markets with a starting price of $649 (Rs. 42,340 roughly).
