Microsoft Lumia 950 with 5.2-inch QHD Display, Snapdragon 808 Officially Announced for $549

Microsoft has announced a new Window 10 based smartphone in its popular Lumia series today, dubbed as ‘Lumia 950’. It has been offered at a price of $549 and it packs a decent set of features. It comes with a display dock that let you use it as a personal PC. The company has also used a liquid cooling technology in this phone that prevents it from overheating.

Specification wise, it comes with a 5.2-inch QHD AMOLED ClearBlack display at front with 2560x1440 pixels resolution and 564ppi pixels density. It also comes laminated by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 technology for protection. At the heart, it packs a Hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor and Adreno 418 GPU with 3GB RAM. It runs on Windows 10 operating system. The dimensions of the phone are measured as 145x73.2x8.25 mm and it weighs at 150g.

Camera wise, it has 20MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, Optical Image Stabilization, triple RGB flash and it is capable of capturing full HD videos. For the selfies, it brings 5MP front-facing camera with wide -angle lens and f/2.4 aperture. It also supports 1080p video recording. In the terms of storage, it has 32GB internal memory which can be further expandable up to 200GB via microSD card. The connectivity attributes of the phone are Wi-Fi, GPS, 4G LTE/ 3G HSPA+ support, USB Type-C 3.1 and Bluetooth.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 will be available in Black and White colors. It draws backup from a 3000mAh removable battery that supports fast charging capabilities. It will reach selected market shelves in November, 2015. It will also available in Dual SIM version, but company hasn’t revealed its price yet.
