Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 to be launched for Indian market on July 26

Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 roadster will be launched on July 26, 2016 in India. The amazing part is that SLC 43 is going to be the first ever car in India to be sold with the ‘43’ nomenclature in India meanwhile replacing the SLK 55 AMG.

In the international market, the SLK was replaced by SLC which was introduced at the 2016 Detroit Motor Show by Mercedes. SLC will be making it to India within six months of its global premiere. The SLC 43 can be called as a modernized cosmetic version of the SLK’s design. The first glance at the front fascia would remind you of the Mercedes A-Class as it has got the characteristic diamond pattern grille along with the prominent Mercedes logo. The headlamps feature a dual-beam setup and LED DRLs and the tail has got a new bumper with chrome-tipped dual exhausts.

The SLC will get its power from the 3.0-litre, V6 Bi-Turbo engine that can churn out 362 Bhp at 5,500-6,000 rpm, and produce a torque of 520 Nm of torque at 2,000-4,200 rpm. The engine is mated to a 9G-TRONIC automatic gearbox that transmits power to the rear wheels.
Mercedes-Benz claims that the SLC 43 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds and reach a speed of 250 km/h.
