Mahindra Bolero - The Best-Selling SUV Once Again

Mahindra Bolero, which lost its bestselling title 2 months back to the newcomer Hyundai Creta has regained its position by selling 529 units more than the competitor. The toughest ever game for the Bolero, Creta has proved to be a potential SUV for the best selling category.

Bolero just sold 4,804 and 5,585 units in the month of August and September respectively. The basic reason was also said to be the introduction of TUV 300, which managed to grab more than 4500 units in October. All was going well for the Bolero from past couple of years as no car had the same value for money when compared to the full sized 7-seater from Mahindra.

Even more tough competition would be faced by Mahindra from the year 2016 as Hyundai has decided to boost the monthly production to 9,000 units from December 2015. The title would also witness newcomers near to the new year sale boost in the Indian market.

Bolero comes with a 2523 cc, m2DiCR engine producing 62 BHP and 195 NM of torque. On the other hand, Creta uses a refined 1582 cc engine producing 126.3 BHP and 259.8 NM of torque on the top trim. It even gets an option of 6-speed automatic transmission on the topmost variant.
