Lexus UX SUV crossover concept revealed

The new Lexus UX concept is to be officially unveiled at the Paris motor show upcoming this month. The carmaker is expected to reveal the design direction of the future car models including a new small SUV which is expected to take place of the CT200h.

A single teaser image designed by Lexus’s European design centre, ED2, shows that the SUV features muscular wheel arches with sharp, angular lines, two rear doors curve out with the swollen wheel arches, door handles housed in the car’s middle, back doors are rear-hinged to open in a ‘suicide’ fashion. The overall size of the SUV seems to be smaller than Lexus NX and RX with features like coupé-like roofline and sharp tail-lights also being there.

Lexus claims that car has “imaginative technologies for an immersive driver experience”,. The automaker also says that the interiors have been designed from traditional craftsmanship involving use of high-tech manufacturing techniques.
For now there is no technical information about the car but we can expect it to be a hybrid or use electrified power. For full information we will have to wait for September 29 Paris motor show.
