In Images: MY2017 Volkswagen Beetle

Before VW officially rolls out the revamped 2017 VW Beetle, it has come up with a fresh gallery with 55 new images. The revamped VW Beetle now has a pair of redesigned bumpers, new fabrics and new color options. There is also a revised range now which includes the Denim, Exclusive Design and Exclusive R-Line models.

The new VW Beetle will have five different engine options: three TSI petrol and two TDI diesel units. The petrol engine range can churn out turbocharged 104 Hp (105 PS) 1.2-litre unit and can hit upto 217 hp (220 PS) 2.0-litre TSI. The diesel range has got a 2.0-litre TDI engine available in 108 Hp (110 PS) and 147 Hp (150 PS) guises. Every engine can be mated to a dual-clutch DSG gearbox as an option.

The cabin has now got new colors, materials and technologies. There is also a painted center console with new dashpad designs, new seat colors and fabrics, brighter, adjustable ambient lighting and new instrument dials.

Another feature added in the revamped Beetle is the Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Traffic Alert system. This feature sends out the warning to the driver about vehicles in the blind spots.

The company’s latest infotainment system comes as an option with a 6.3-inch touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and MirrorLink.

The R-Line model will be replaced by the Sport one as the range-topper. It will offer sports seats, a chrome tailpipe, red-painted brake calipers, special 17-inch alloy wheels and wider body fenders and would give a more dynamic appearance.
