Hyundai recently unveiled the i20 WRC in Germany. The rally car is the Hyundai’s option for 2016 World Rally Championship. The car comes with a 1.6L turbocharged petrol engine producing 300 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 400 NM @ 5,000 rpm. The permanent 4 wheel drive car comes with a 6-speed sequential gearbox.
After intense testing for an year and 8,000 kms, Hyundai claims that the car is far better and quicker than its predecessor. Hyundai’s Dani Sordo, Haydon Paddon and Thierry Neuville are all confirmed for full season, with plans of shuffling the drivers on round by round basis.

“The new-generation i20 WRC is the product of a full year of development and with a more experienced team of staff, we should now raise our objectives to be more confident to fight at the front. The competition remains strong and we know our manufacturer rivals will not ease in their pursuit for victory, but we want to take the fight to them in 2016.”
