Hyundai announced the separation of Genesis and formation of a new luxury brand which was used on the flagship luxury sedan till date. The winged badge would serve as the logo for the upcoming brand and Genesis models would be classified by a new nomenclature using G as the initial.
The first mode from the Genesis would make its way in December 2015 and it would be most probably based on the Genesis Vision G concept. The company plans 6 launches till the end of year 2020.
The growing competition in the luxury segment would favor the feature loaded approach of the Genesis brand. It would rival against luxury car makes like Jaguar, Audi, Mercedes and many others.
