Hero has officially discontinued the Maestro scooter from its lineup and even removed the same from the official website. The basic two reasons for the discontinuation can be assumed as the popularity of the Maestro Edge and ending up the royalty payment cycle with Honda. Maestro Edge has been completely developed by Hero engineers while the company now only pays royalty for Impulse, Passion xPro and Ignitor.
Hero Maestro used the same engine as Honda Activa 3G and even shares the design with the India’s best selling scooter. The company is developing new engines and making them more efficient with the integration of i3s and other revolutionary technologies. Soon, Hero will be serving their very own lineup of engines and new products based on 110, 125 and 150 cc category will make way into the Indian market.
