Is Motorola a Chinese brand? Is Indian government going to ban the Chinese phones in India? Am planning to buy a new phone, should I go for Motorola? Am concerned about the after-sales service and resale value. Please help!

According to Wikipedia - Motorola is an American consumer electronics and telecommunications company that is now a subsidiary of Lenovo, which is based in Hong Kong (special administrative region of China).

I don’t think that Indian government is going to ban the Chinese phones. But personally, I won’t be buying a Chinese phone. There are a lot of other brands like Samsung, Nokia, Apple, ASUS, HTC, Sony etc. Samsung is launching pretty good smartphones these days especially under the M series.

Thank you so much for sharing the list! Sadly, no Indian brand offers a high-spec premium smartphone. I think I can go for Samsung Galaxy M31 with 8GB RAM. What do you suggest?

I would suggest you to wait for the Samsung Galaxy M31s, Amazon will launch it on July 30 in India. Here are the teaser photos:

I have just updated the list and added POCO, Black Shark, Infinix, Gionee, iQOO, and InFocus. Let me know in case there are still some brands missing in the list.

The Galaxy M31s has been recently launched, you can check out the details here:

Is OnePlus Nord a Chinese smartphone? Am planning to buy it.

Yes, OnePlus is a Chinese smartphone brand. You can also consider the Galaxy S9. Though it is an old model but is capable enough with good specs like a Quad HD+ display, an excellent rear camera, and wireless charging. It is available on Flipkart for around INR 24,900.
