Delhi Government Lifts the Ban on Royal Enfield Himalayan

In a good news for RE enthusiasts in Delhi, the government has decided to lift the ban on two wheelers equipped with BS-III engines released before 1 April, 2016.

The mighty motorcycle is powered by a single-cylinder 411cc engine producing a power of 24.5 Bhp @ 6500 rpm and a peak torque of 32 Nm @ 4000-4500 rpm. The engine is paired to a conventional five speed gearbox.

The Himalayan is priced at 1.73 lacs (on-road) in Delhi and will be available in two shades - Granite Black and Snow White. The bookings for the bike have already started from March 30, with test drives available at all dealerships. The deliveries of the motorcycle will commence from next month.
