BMW Motorrad begins production of G310R in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, India

So, finally the production for much-awaited bike BMW G310R has started at TVS Motor’s plant in Hosur in Tamil Nadu state of India. The G310R is the first upcoming product from the BMW Motorrad and TVS Motor Company alliance.

This is the smallest capacity motorcycle ever being produced under the BMW Motorrad brand. After its manufacturing India, the product will be exported to Australia, Europe and other Asian countries.
The G310R will derive its power from a 313 cc, liquid-cooled engine that can develop 34 Bhp at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm at 7,500 rpm, and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The braking setup includes 300 mm front disc brake and a 240 mm rear disc along with dual-channel ABS as a standard. The bike is expected to be launched this October in India. It will be a tough competition to KTM Duke 390 and Mahindra Mojo.
