A moment of cheers for Bajaj fans, the new Pulsar CS400 has been recently spotted testing in the wild with loads of camouflage and most importantly, the same LED headlight as the showcased model @ Auto Expo in 2014. As of now, Bajaj has not made any official announcement regarding the launch date while the bike seems on its final stage of testing in these images and it is expected to be launched within next 2-3 months.
The CS400 will carry the engine from KTM 390 series of motorcycles. The 373.2 cc, 1-cylinder engine is good for a max of 43 Bhp and 35 Nm of torque. The flagship Pulsar would most probably carry a different stage of tune. It has been spotted with 2 all-digital LCD instrument panels, one on the fuel tank and one placed near the handle bar, like the Ducati Diavel.
The USD forks from the showcased bike have been replaced by conventional forks whereas most of the styling bits have been carried forward to the production spec motorcycle. The only question left seems to be the availability of the LED headlight as it can be offered as an optional variant or premium accessory for the motorcycle.
The cruiser sport presents direct competition to the Indian heavyweight cruisers of Royal Enfield while the Pulsar would definitely win when it comes to strict race standards.
