48,000 Units Of Ford Ecosport Recalled

Ford has recalled 48,000 units of the Ecosport, sold between April 2013 and June 2014 to install a new bundle clip on the fuel and brake lines. 700 units sold in Jan and Feb 2016 have also been recalled to replace the bolts on the split folding rear bench.

Ford said, in an offical statement, “the 40 percent rear seat backrest might have been assembled with bolts that do not meet Ford’s material specification”

The Ecosport was also recalled last November. The car owner’s can get the faulty parts replaced from dealerships free of cost. The Ford Ecosport competes against the Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Mahindra TUV 300.
