2016 Zero FXS Electric Motorcycle Officially Unleashed

Environment lovers would go crazy with the news of the recent unveiling of 2016 Zero FXS. The powerful electric motorcycle has been made in such a way that it works both as a street and race bike after being derived from a dirt bike.

The most astonishing fact of being an electric motorcycle is that it delivers the entire torque value at idle, making it a true supermoto by heart. The bike gets a better and lightweight frame made from aircraft grade aluminum. It gets a better suspension and comes with a claimed range of 55 km.

The bike is high on performance with max power of 27 or 44 hp, depending on the power pack configuration and maximum torque of 95 NM. this makes it good for a 0-100 kmph time of 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 132 kmph. The bike gets Z-Force Li-Ion intelligent modular power pack which gets charged in 4.7 hours. With max accessory charger, it takes just 1.5 hours for a 100 percent charge.

On the component end, the bike uses 41mm inverted cartridge forks from Showa for the front and 40mm piggy-back reservoir shock for the rear. J-Juan’s 320 mm and 240 mm disc brakes have been used for the front and rear respectively. Pirelli Diablo Rosso 2 has been used for a better grip on every terrain. The bike surprisingly weighs 114kg, with the frame weighing just 9.1kg only.
