2016 Triumph Bonneville Family Revealed

Triumph has internationally revealed the 5 members to the Bonneville family. The 2016 family would include Street Twin, T120, T120 Black, Thruxton and Thruxton Black. Every one of them carries a different attitude for their individual presence and classic underpinnings for a common background.

  • Street Twin
The new addition named Street Twin would be the entry level Bonneville with a revised 900 cc parallel twin engine. It would feature a higher powered engine and would generate 80 NM @ 3200 rpm, making it good for city riding. The other features would include lower seat height and lighter overall body to attract more amatuer buyers to the motorcycle.

  • T120
The T120 is a real Bonneville by nature. It gets the same old classic paint job and chrome parts like the original 1956 model. It gets a bigger engine with nearly 54 percent more torque(105 NM @ 3100 rpm) than the current generation model. It gets options like USB charging port, LED DRL’s and 2 riding modes.

  • T120 Black
The basic difference between the T120 and its Black edition is the use of blackened out engine, exhaust and paint job. Rest remains the same as a normal T120.

  • Thruxton
The cafe racer of the family gets new updates in the form of lighter crank, higher compression and a high flow airbox, which makes the same 1200 cc engine from the T120 a charm to ride. It gets clipon handlebars and single seat with a stretched fuel tank. The new version gets better tyres, ABS and a more responsive attitude.

  • Thruxton R
When it comes to race, the Thruxton R is exactly what a rider will need. It gets Showa USD forks at the front and Ohlins twin gas charged dampers at the rear. The braking it given to Brembo monoblock calipers and tyres to the Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa. It gets lighter wheels and a higher amount of acceleration to the motorbike.
