2016 KTM RC390 Rumor: No Aluminum Exhaust for India

The desired 2016 KTM RC390 is said to loose the all new aluminum exhaust from its European version for the Indian subcontinent. The new version would include ride by wire technology and slipper clutch as an additional feature. The use of adjustable brake and clutch lever, along with the standard ABS makes it a clear winner from its segment.

The aluminum exhaust was a contradictory step as not everyone was happy with the new change. The purpose of the exhaust, following the euro 4 emission norms is currently not required in India and KTM may skip the same for getting better ride stability and cleaner look in the country.

The use of a better 320 mm front disc brake would also make the new version a delight to ride, making its 373.2 cc, single cylinder motor more controllable than ever. It would definitely get a price hike for its upcoming 2016 version. KTM RC390 produces 43 BHP and 35 NM of torque whereas the price is expected to rise by a margin of INR 15,000-20,000.
