The Yamaha FZ25 is the first 250 cc segment bike from Yamaha in the Indian market. The much awaited naked street bike has been launched by the company at an ex-showroom price of INR 1,19,500 ( ex-showroom Delhi ).
The new Yamaha FZ addition attracts attention forit's muscular design and premium bike level styling. The bike features LED headlamps and tail-lamps which further adds value and appeal to the model. It also offers an updated instrument console which is fully digital. further it offers allow wheels and disc brakes ( front 282 mm and rear 220 mm ).
Yamaha FZ25 is powered by a 249 cc, single cylinder fuel injected engine which generates a maximum power of 20.69 bhp @ 8000 rpm and gives out a maximum torque of 20 Nm @ 6000 rpm. The bike is lightweight, compared to the other bikes in the segment at just 148 kilograms. Yamaha FZ25 also comes with a 14 litres fuel tank ( as compared to a 12 litre tank in FZ V 2.0 ) and has a company claimed mileage of 43 kmpl. The bike is all good news for Yamaha fans but the product could have had a mass appeal if it had a bulkier look.
The FZ25 lies in the same segment as Benelli TNT 25 and TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi. Given the fact that this model was a much awaited update from Yamaha, this bike has a missing ABS channel which is a major letdown. The bike score more on styling and brand value. And also under the price shell of Rs. 1.20 lakhs this is an affordable premium segment bike.
