Royal Enfield Himalayan launch event, which was planned for this month has been postponed for 2016 Auto Expo. The motorcycle has been partially revealed in the spy shots and latest information about the same brings the engine and its mechanicals into the spotlight.
The Himalayan gets powered by a 410cc oil cooled engine producing around 28 PS and 32 NM of torque. The gearbox for the motorcycle stays 5-speed and the newcomer would get a counter balancer for reduced vibrations and noise.
The instrument console on Himalayan is a bit different from all the classic instrument consoles on other RE models. It gets an analogue speedometer with a LED screen in the same pod. The other pods contain analogue tachometer and fuel gauge.
