Motorola announced their latest high end smartphones in Moto G5 and Moto G5 plus at the ongoing Mobile Wolrd Congress in Barcelona. An update to the Moto G series, both the phones feature a unibody metal design and feature a 1080p HD screen. The screen also has a water repellent nano coating.
The Moto G5 has a standard 5 inch screen while the Moto G5 Plus os packed with a 5.2 inch 1080 p screen. The Moto G5 Plus has a 12 megapixel rear camera with dual autofocus and f/1.7 aperture. It has a 5 megapixel front camera with Omnivision OV5693 sensor and f/2.2 aperture. The Moto G regular variant features a 13 mega-pixel rear camera with 5 mega-pixel front camera.
The Moto G5 Plus runs on a 2 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor with Aderno 506 GPU while Moto G5 runs on a 1.4 GHz Octa-Core 64 bit Snapdragon 460 processor with Aderno 506 GPU. The Moto G5 is available in two variants of 2GB and 3 GB RAM with 16 GB internal memory while Moto G% Plus is available in 2 GB and 3GB RAM variants with 32 GB storage as well as a 4GB RAM high end variant with 64 GB internal memory. Both phones run on the latest Android 7.0 ( Nougat ).
Both the models are available in 2 shades of Lunar Grey and Fine Gold. The Moto G5 is priced at 199 Euros ( US $ 210/ INR 14005). The moto G5 Plus is priced at US $229 ( Rs. 15260 ) for the 3GB RAM/32 GB storage version and at 279 euros ( US $ 294/ Rs. 19360 approx ) for 3GB RAM/32 GB storage. The 64 GB memory variant of G5 plus will come in selected markets. Both the Moto G variants will be available across Europe, North America, Asia Pacific and Latin America by March 2017.
