Mitsubishi India will soon be re-launching its Montero SUV for which the bookings have even begun by now. This has been confirmed by company's latest newspaper advertisements with image and the captions saying "Bookings Open, Contact you nearest Mitsubishi dealer now".
According to Uttam Bose, MD of Hindustan Motor Financial Corporation Ltd (HMFCL), Montero and Outlander will be launched in 2016 in India and the next gen Pajero Sport is expected to be launched in 2017.
Mitsubishi Montero would feature LED daytime running lights (DRLs) along with premium leather upholstery for the cabins. The SUV would have steering cruise control and audio control, fully automatic A/C vents, power tilt and sliding sunroof, and chrome inner door handles. It would be launched in seven color variants: White Solid, Warm White Mica, Black Mica, Cool Silver Metallic, Eiger Gray Metallic,Platinum Beige Metallic and Quartz Brown Metallic. The Montero will have a 3.2-litre diesel engine mated to 5-speed automatic gearbox which will be capable to churn out 189 BHP at 3,800 rpm and a peak torque of 441 Nm at 2,000 rpm.
