Micromax has unveiled the Canvas Mega 2 phablet at INR 7,999. The phone's main USP is being the only 6 inch smartphone in this price segment.
The Mega 2, successor to the Canvas Mega launched last year, features a 6 inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) display, a 3,000 mAh battery and a 1.3 Ghz Quad core processor. The phone which runs on Android 5.0 has 1 GB RAM, 8 GB storage which can be expanded to 32 GB via MicroSD card. It has a 8 Megapixel rear camera equipped with autofocus and LED flash, and a 5 megapixel front camera. It also has a dual sim slot and supports 4G connectivity. The phone is only available in black color.
Micromax aims to increase its share in the phablet market, which as of rests at 15%.
