Maruti Suzuki has launched a new limited edition of its most selling car, the Alto K10. The move is said to counter the increasing demand for the feature loaded Renault KWID. Known as 'Urbano Edition', it comes with loads of features on a standard Alto K10. The car remains the same in terms of performance and Maruti Suzuki counts a total of 18 changes to the vehicle.
The basic changes start with an addition of rear parking sensors into the car. For the visual pleasure, Alto K10 gets heavy chrome treatment on ORVM's, fog lights, tail lights and wheel arches. The interior gets leather seats with matching steering cover, ambient lighting, LED door sill guard and Bluetooth hands-free kit. The USB fast charger would help the passengers by keeping their devices charged all the time.
The 1.0 L, 3-cylinder petrol engine produces 67 BHP and 90 NM of torque. It gets the same 5-speed manual as well as the AMT unit. The kit has been priced at INR 16,990. They will cover everything being offered on the KWID but missing the touchscreen infotainment with navigation would still make the Alto K10 feel a bit behind in the technology race.
