Mahindra has revealed the compact crossover, KUV 100 for the Indian market. The car presents a different story as it would be respectfully placed between the B- Segment hatchbacks like Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 and all the others of the same segment. This makes it quite happening as Mahindra is expected to offer a wide range of features on the ' Kool Utility Vehicle'.
The KUV 100 would be powered by 1.2 L petrol as well as diesel engine. The petrol motor is good for 82 bhp @ 5,500 rpm and 114 Nm @ 3,500 Nm whereas the diesel produces 77 bhp @ 3,750 rpm and 190 Nm @ 1,750-2,250 rpm. The new engines are named mFalken D75 and mFalken G80 for the diesel and petrol version respectively.
The car comes in 4 variants (K2, K4, K6 and K8) with optional models for the first 3 variants ( K2+, K4+ and K6+), offering airbags and keeping ABS standard on all. The booking for the car would start from 19 December 2015. It is expected to be priced from INR 4 lakh and would be available in 7 different shades.
