Honda has introduced the new Accord facelift in Malaysia at a price of RM 145000(Rs. 23.77 lakh). There are no mechanical changes in the Accord and the car continues to have the same engine. However, the exteriors of the car have undergone changes which include: long chrome bar between the head lamps, new LED taillights at the rear and wider chrome number plate all adding to the boldness of the Accord.
The infotainment is also loaded with new features which include Apple CarPlay, HDMI, MirroLink, Wifi hotspot. The cabin features wood and piano black or silver finishes( 2.0 VTi-L and 2.4 VTi-L). What's missing on the Malaysian variant is the remote engine start which is found on the Thai model.
The Malaysian Accord has been launched in three variants: 2.0 VTi, 2.0 VTi-L, 2.4 Vti-L. 2.4 L variant with the dream engine is capable to churn 175 BHP and 225 NM with transmission duties being handled by 5-speed gearbox.
The car is loaded with safety features like ABS, EBD, six airbags, brake assist, vehicle stability assist and hill start assist. Also the 2.0 VTi-L and 2.4 VTi-L include LaneWatch Blind spot camera.
