Harley Davidson has launched its Sportster, the 1200 Custom in India at a price of INR 8.99 lakh. It takes the total bike count to 13 from the company. Harley Davidson 1200 Custom would be bought as a CKD unit and assembled in the company's Haryana facility.
It comes with a fat front end design, further being enhanced by the extensive use of chrome in the headlamp and the eyebrow. It comes with steel laced wheels and uses a pull back handlebar. It uses Michelin Scorcher 31 tyres, specifically designed for the motorcycle.
The engine powering the beast is a 1200 cc Evolution, air cooled motor with fuel injection and O2 sensors. It uses a 5-speed manual gearbox for the transmission duties.
