Asus has gone ahead and announced Asus Zenfone AR at the ongoing CES 2017. What's so special about Zenfone AR is that it is compatible with Tango AR and Google's Daydream VR platform.
This makes the phone the second smartphone in the world to run on Tango AR platform after Lenovo Phab 2 Pro. Zenfone AR sports a 5.7 inch 2560 x 1440 pixels super AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and has an 8GB RAM. It is packed with a 23 mega-pixel main camera with motion tracking and depth sensing. The phone supports Tango's AR capabilities.
Tango AR is an augmented reality platform that combines the camera, gyroscope, accelerometer for 6 degree freedom motion tracking and depth sensing camera. Asus Zenfone also flaunts five magnet speaker which supports high reoloution sound and DTS virtual surround sound. Asus Zenfone comes with Charcoal Black color with leather finish for an upclass premium feel. It will launch by second half of 2017.
