KTM RC390 and RC200 are ready to undergo the 2017 treatment and recently, an official brochure leak confirmed that there would be new thing on the existing motorcycles. Both the bikes are cosmetically enhanced and even provided with those required updates from the 2016 version. Here are the details for the 2017 KTM RC series.
2017 KTM RC200 now carries a White body, ranging from its side fairing to the fuel tank. The Orange stripes can be seen on its body while no design change is spotted elsewhere. The 199.5 cc, single cylinder engine is good for 25 PS at 10,000 rpm and 19.2 Nm at 8,000 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and weighs 154 kg with 90 percent fuel.
RC200 still comes without ABS and carries the same combo of 300 mm/230 mm disc brakes. The rear seat now has 12 mm more padding than before on both the bikes. The 2017 RC390 carries disengage-able ABS, ride by wire technology and uses a bigger 320 mm of front disc brake. It even comes with a new exhaust on the right side.
The 373.3 cc, single cylinder engine on the 2017 RC390 is good for 43.5 PS at 9000 rpm and 36 Nm at 7,000 rpm. It now weighs 170 kg and carries a 9.5 liter fuel tank. The engine has been retuned for the 2017 model while the body even carries new Gloss Black/Orange shade for improved visual pleasure. The bike may soon get updated on the official website.
