Reports have it that the KTM Duke 390 will come up with its 2017 edition early next year for which the bookings will start in the month of January 2017 itself. Also India will be one of the first markets experiencing the launch of this new variant. Customer delivery is also expected by April 2017.
The 2017 KTM Duke comes with an upgraded Euro IV compliant 373.2 cc liquid cooled engine. The single cylinder engine puts out 44 hp at 9,000 rpm and 37 nm of torque 7,000 rpm which is paired to a 6-speed transmission. The fuel tank is bigger this time with 13.4 litres capacity ( up by 2.4 litres ) giving a better long term driving experience.
The redesigned model comes with a conventional side-mouthed exhaust system to deal with issues regarding unsuitability during rains. The bike also comes loaded with 320 mm front and 230 mm rear disk brakes.
Other features include LED headlight, LED daytime running lights, colour TFT instrument panel and KTM my ride with smartphone tethering. Excitingly it will also have the ride-by-wire system which will be coming to the Indian markets as well this time around.
